All you need to make WinMo usable is, IMO, TouchFlo/Sense from HTC.
It's far better integrated than a lot of other UIs.
My run-ins with Android have been steadily more disappointing - it's like it's designed for 5 year olds.
Obviously just now there's also the issue of the limited hardware support which cripples the handsets.
I had been hoping that the X3 would help arrest these concerns but a combination of the shoddy quality of Satio and the fact that Leo/HD2 is going to be on the market earlier with better hardware (save for the camera) leaves me with the increasing feeling that the X3 is going to be a bit underwhelming.
I still find the system extremely lagging. Other OS are extremely smooth compared to WinMo. I'm using a clean version of WinMo 6.5 with MS3.5, even though not official, I still don't see any improvement over 6.1. Still laggs, and only MS3.5 is installed.
I like WinMo tbh. I've just flashed my ROM with 6.5 last night and it's like having a completely new phone. From what I’ve read so far, android is a bit dodgy and as Step666 pointed out, it has "limited hardware support which cripples the handsets".
I just can't see the benefit of taking android over WinMo, not when there's so much potential with WinMo to customise everything in it.
For X3 fans, there's a piece of "news" saying X3 would be officially announced in November. Sony Ericsson annouces Rachael in November | SEMC Blog.
Specvise X3 looks good to me. Don't know how interaction responses in X3 compare to for example HTC Leo. Leo seems to be very fluidic and rapid device with WM6.5/Sense UI.
I personally wouldn't trust any of these multitude of blogs - if you're linking to an article on the likes of Engadget, that's one thing but an SE blog run by one guy called 'Max'?
It's not that I'm saying he's deliberately lying but I just question his so-called sources.
As for the X3, anyone who has had a play with Satio will surely be wary of getting excited - Satio is such a poor phone that it leaves me with serious doubts that SE will be able to produce a handset to rival the quality that we have come to expect from the likes of HTC.
Also, whilst this may be running the same processor as Leo, it has just a bit more than half the RAM, so I'd expect Leo to be quicker and more responsive.
The only area that Rachael is probably guaranteed to out-perform Leo is when it comes to the camera, it's one of the few things SE still do well.
wait for this to come out soo i can buy it
There's this (not blurred) picture of the X3 with a huge screen and enough space to place many widgets. Looks nice imo.
Unfortunately I don't speak russian - and Googles translator is useless.
SE Xperia X3 to be renamed?
Xperia X3 Renamed to Xperia X10? Vodafone X2 short-term exclusivity?
