Smile T-Mobile USA 3g UMTS1700/2100 In The House At SonyEricsson Xperia X1 USA Website

You can take a look at T-Mobile's USA 3g UMTS 1700/2100 band here at Sony Ericsson - Mobile phones - Specifications - X1 .....1 This is from SonyEricsson USA official website, it looks like T-Mobile USA 3g band is in the house with the SonyEricsson Xperia X1. Just a few minutes ago I talked with a rep over at SonyEricsson, he said that 95% of his calls were from people who wanted to verify what the SE website say about T-Mobile UMTS 1700/2100 was true or not. So it has been confirmed, it's true ..............!

I never said that T-Mobile was getting the Xperia X1, but I did confirmed again today that the Xperia X1 will be compatible to work on T-Mobile's new 3g USA 1700/2100 Mhz network. I believe we all will purchase this Xperia X1 as a unbranded phone. Who needs T-Mobile's BLOAT on their phone anyway. All that matter to me is that it will work on T-Mobile's 3g.........!

Smile Confirmed Again Today T-mobile 3g 1700/2100 MHz Will Be On SonyEricsson Xperia X1

I called Expansys USA 1-800-675-2638 this morning {9/24/08} inquring about the Volocity Mobile 103 pda phone, I wanted to know if it would work on T-Mobile's USA 3g 1700/2100 MHz network, the rep told me no it would not work.

The rep said, the ONLY pda phone that he would have this year, that would work on T-Mobile's USA 3g 1700/2100 MHz network band would be SonyEricsson's {Xperia X1}, which he said would go on sale sometime in Oct. or early Nov.

Please help me to understand. 3G 1700/2100I is T-MO frequency bands in USA? How you said it doesn'tt mean that USA T-MO is going to get it? and why 1700/2100 will work in EU and not in USA.
In the other hand, I believe AT&T uses 850/1900 so they can not have it either... so who's going to get the Xperia in USA? There are no more players.

    T-Mobile's USA 3g 1700/2100 MHz band Network and AT&T's 3g 850/1900 MHz band Network.....!

UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA 850/1700/1900/2100 MHz Ok, T-Mobile's USA 3g and AT&T's 3g is here too. These are the 2 bands that will be on the North America Xperia X1a version, they will come from SonyEricsson with these bands already on them.

Maybe T-Mobile will not carry the Xperia X1 in their stores, then I would have to go to Expansys USA, Best Buy Mobile, MCO Stores and purchase a unbranded Xperia X1 phone, just install my T-Mobile SIM Card in my new Xperia X1, it would now work on T-Mobile's USA 3g network, because my Xperia X1 is compatiable with T-Mobile's USA 3g network. I hope that I have explain this in a minor in which you can understand now.........!

An example is I'm using a N95-3 (US model of N95) which supports only AT&T's 3G band. It's only available as unbranded and not carried by AT&T.

There are many high-end phones are not carried by the the operators but only available as unbraded, probably because either the manufacterers don't want to sell it cheap to the operators or the operators do not want to heavily subsidy the phone.

I highly doubt T-Mobile USA will carry X1 when it's now focusing on marketing the HTC G1 to compete with iPhone 3G.

When SE first announced the specifciation, I was expecting a Quad-UMTS-band phone that will work worldwide.

Now it turns out they're releasing it as different versions, (correct me if I'm wrong because I have already seen some review sites have reviewed 850/1900 on AT&T network but no mention of 1700/2100 on the same phone), the "UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA 850/1700/1900/2100" is totally misleading.

At least they should have 850/2100 and 1700/1900 in one phone, so people in USA can buy only 1 version and able to pick any carrier and switch later if necessary.
I use both AT&T and T-Mobile at work, it realy put me off in getting the X1.

I see what you are saying, but the USA version will come with both T-Mobile and AT&T 3g bands on one phone. OK, actually all the {Worldwide} bands will not come on all the Xperia X1's, because you have different versions for different parts of the world. Follow this link and you will see all the bands on the Xperia X1 Sony Ericsson - Press Release Overview .....1 Stroll down to "Availablility and Versions networks" ...........!

    Might want to call again.
Website updated AGAIN and the US T-Mobile 1700 band has vanished of the spec list!!!
It would really suck if the X1 will end up NOT supporting the 1700/2100 AWS HSDPA in ANY version!
I'm starting to get bad vibes that this may be the case.
