Thread: Micro SD 32gb ?

Seen a report somewhere somewhere these phones support 32Gb memory cards - does anyone know if they exists ? google turns out a blank, as does ebay..

I heard 32gb will be release at june 2009 i will get one for sure, hehe

i know that at the moment 16GB exists - by SanDisk, but it's class 2 only.

memoryshop.nl says a 32GB card will soon be available...they already have it up for pre-order at the price of €104,00
Doesn't say what class it is, and to be honest, I have no clue about these things....but it says it has a read and a write speed of 15 mb/s

I have one of those.
It acted really slow when I used it to store music in my old N95. The databases in the Nokia didn't like 3000 files.
I must say its really fast in the X1, especially when I browse files.

What is a class 2? Do you get a class 1, and is it different?

Look up in wikipedia.org for SD cards, don't be lazy! There is a table of SD card classes.

When released the price will outweigh any advantage of having a large memory. I would say weight 6 months () after release and the price should come down.

You can pick up a 16gb card for around £40.

I just ordered a 16GB SD (SanDisk), only cost £46 from memorybits. No 32GB until early 2009.
X1 detected it no problems.
