It better be announced by X-mas... or else like other members I might be thinking of other options.

Well I had to send my X1 back as it did not work over here in Canada but since then I have got a treo pro as I am bored of waiting for SE to sort themsevles out with release dates.
And after playing with both phones the Treo in my view rocks, it gives me everything I need and most importantly is really useable and quick quick quick for a windows mobile device.
The X1 was slow slow slow in comparison. Obviously I could not test the 3g speed but the treo will works pretty much everywhere and has great network support. The actually operation of the X1 I found really slow and the panels thing is just going to be a bit of a gimick as I cant see the mass adoption needed to make it worth while.
If you have not thought about it check the treo.

HTC Touch Pro coming to AT&T Mobility before month end!
I think I'm done with SE and the soon-to-be Xpired Xperia.

agreed. I was at At&t on Thrusday and he said they had just put in the order for the htc touch pro and that it should be there by Nov. 11, so I think I'm gonna check that out...never used an htc. but like I said I'm not gonna pick a phone till at least before christmas sooo if SE can manage to come out with an announcement by then and the release date doesn't end up being months away then maybe I'll wait, but from the way they've acted about this "announcement" I would imagine they would end up doing the same thing when it actually comes time to release it...

.
I will get the the Xperia regardless if AT&T carries it or not.
I'll just put my sim in it.
If they do I'll save money on the phone.
I they don't I get and unbranded,
cost more but a better phone without
the AT&T crappy branding and locking.

I can see this phone lasting me a while, so yea I plan on getting it unbranded as well (since im still on contract anyway).
It just has such a great build quality and styling, on top of its hardware which will probably get used to its full potential later on with new ROMs (cause I'm pretty **** positive that 3D chip is doing nearly nothing right now, or else the panel animations wouldnt lag).
All of that combined makes me think that I wouldn't even want a new phone for a while. I see the HTC Touch HD out right now, and sure it has a great screen, but no keyboard and its all plastic. That seems to be the trend with touch screen phones, so the X1 looks to be pretty **** perfect for what I'm looking for.
Just wish SE USA would make a **** announcement already.
