Thread: Cannot connect to Network Problem.

Hello Folks, I've got a Sony X1 problem that has just started. I work on a ship for a month at a time so switch my X1 to Flight mode as there ain't no network at sea. When arriving in harbour the other day - I switched the flight mode off and tried to get a signal - and the phone flashed up "Cannot Connect to Network, please try another or switch off data connection and try again". I did all that and nothing worked, tried a different sim and also nothing, finally tried my sim in someone else's phone and it worked ok. There's also a small exclamation mark next to the signal bar thing at the top of the phone. Does anyone have any advice? I got a sony satio donated to me so I'm ok if the phone is trashed. have you tried a hard reset??

hard reset is way too early i think. ! next to the network means there is no service. stupid question tough: have you repeatedly turned flight mode on/off? i mean are you sure you've switched it on back again?

Yep. Tried a hard reset. Didn't help and lost me all my SPB shell etc.

Tried switching flight mode on/off loads of times and nothing. Feel like giving the phone a private flight out the window into the bin!
