Thread: Just updated vodaphone

Hi guys just a note to say vodaphone uk via sues is now updated to ver 3,and just to say im so happy right now !!i now get a signal at home!(i dont live in a great area for reception btw)
Other than that no differnce really but i dont care !

Updated mine yesterday and currently working nice and smoothly.. No more lag when using the keyboard.

Stupid question, is this an update from Vodafone's web site or a new firmware flash?

SEUS - Sony Ericsson Update Service, from their official website. It is the Vodafone version of the update to R3A, which is the third ROM update.

I do get the odd wierd error come up every now and then... like the screen mirror imaged.

But the signal is miles better, can get a signal now in about 1/2 of my house

not sure if I have done this right? I opened up the sony update service app and did it all through that? Its reset my phone and done some sort of update, but to be honest the signal seems worse in my house if anything!

Is there something else I should do to get the vodafone update specifically?

Hi PhilNUK,no there is nothing specific,i sympathise with ya m8 but my signal deffo increased after update it seems to me the radio inside isnt constantly tryin to connect to 3g/hsdpa all the time and instead is finding a more steady signal in my area(gsm at home)but when i goto work it changes to 3g/hsdpa automatically.

PhilNUK: does it seem worse when you are using it or are there just less bars, if there are less bars then is the a letter next to them (G, 3G or H)? if so then you are probably getting a better signal as it has swapped up to a faster transfer rate.
