Thread: Is it possible to Change OS language?

Hey guys,Had another question. If I get a swedish x1 can the swedish menu's be changed to english? Thanks in advance!

From what i have gathered from other people: It is possible but it isn't nice, requires a complete reinstall of the OS.

Just be patient. The swedish X1 has its own keyboard layout too, that wont be too fun.

I dunno, I think it will be funny, someone nicks your fone...look at the keyboard and then brings it back

How can I reinstall the OS. Is the CD with phone contains the OS. I look everywhere inside the CD, but couldnot find the OS !

I believe is possible, maybe very complex. You may need a CAB with the ROM image. The best place are guys at XDA-developers they the HTC experts

I dont think that Microsoft distribute windows mobile to anyone except OEMs (read that somewhere whilst googling) - and then you need the xperia panels too for the language you want. When I spoke to SE about converting my swedish X1 to an english language OS with the Swedish keyboard - they gave me multiple different answers - but the impression I got was that it is technically possible - but will require you to reflash the OS - and you'll need the xperia panels too - and the main stumbling block is that Microsoft will not be likely to allow free download of their OS - but maybe at an SE service centre they can do it for you... I did get a hint that SE were investigating this - and may update the support site...
