Default Any C64 emulators that will run on X1?

Given the great keyboard of the X1 - seems to me that it is near perfect for playing the old C64 games - anyone know if there is an emulator that will run on it?

    - prefferably with switchable screen as well. Have tried out pockethobbit - but it seems a little buggy - had to pull the battery out to shut it down when it crashed from the bootup screen... twice...

WOW!!, That would be awsome. I wrote some games for the Atari 800 over 20 years ago, that were converted to the Commodore 64. I would be interested also to know.

    Default Thanks X1guy

I'm gonna pilot this + will update here with how I get on with it... they claim compatibility with windows mobile 6.0 - and thats pretty close I would think to 6.1 - seems worth a shot at $35 for potentially the full collection of C64 games...
Can't wait to get the full infocom adventures on my mobile

I loved my Commadore 64, with the good old tape drive that always needed aligning ... couldn't afford the floppy disk version

    Default Progress so far

I have installed the emulator - which was a bit tricky - as you get several cab files and an exe - and not so many instructions - but the tech support from the site were very helpful.

The good news is that the emulator runs a little better than I expected - which is to say pretty good. It will load and run many C64 games with no problems. For control - I can map the X1 optical joystick button to the fire button - and then the buttons that frame the joystick button can be mapped to the various joystick directions - and that seems to work out ok.
The sound (SID) emulation works pretty good - with the occasional (slight) bit of white noise when there is no sound to play - but seems pretty solid on the whole.
The emulator can be run in portrait or landscape mode (by rotating the screen twice) - so far I've mostly used the portrait - as the joystick seems the easiest way to control most games and the keyboard mapping is a little out...

The keyboard mapping attempts to place the original C64 keys over the X1 keys - and this means (I think) that some of the keys are not mapped as you might expect - eg runstop, restore, CBM key - I think it is possible to edit / change this mapping - but not tried this yet.
The touch screen seems to be disabled when in landscape mode - and the keyboard is out - if you place the keyboard in then the touchscreen works for the virtual keyboard again...
The emulator is pretty well done on the whole though - they seem to have thought of many issues - and it is surprisingly stable on the X1.
This will definitely be ok for many of the joystick controlled titles - and I'm hopeful that once I work out the keyboard mapping - the X1 keyboard can be put to good use too... I'll try to post more on that later...
