    Default xperia question regarding MESSENGER..

Okay, I'm almost 100% sure I want an Xperia X1, I'm currently torn between this and the HTC touch pro..
I prefer the Xperia as looks nicer, doesn't look as bulky,
I like the look of the panels and stuff BUT.. The thing that
is stopping me and making me doubt it, (which may seem small)
but is the use of IM software (MSN, AIM, Yahoo) as
I always use MSN and that's what I mostly use my phone for, if not texting.
I've tried to find a good review on the messenger on the Xperia, I was just wondering if anyone
could tell me how good it is, on here I've seen people experiencing a lot of problems?

And if you wouldn't mind looking, here's a video of the HTC Touch Pro's MSN client..
    is it as good as, or anywhere near as good as this;

YouTube - Sprint HTC Touch Pro Windows Live Messenger

If someone could help me out here I'd really appreciate it, I'm so confusedd!

The great thing about the Xperia is that you can get pretty much anything off an HTC device. I'm sure if you get the X1 and don't like its built in messenger, you can get the HTC messenger.

I no longer use MSN messenger so I can't really fill you in on the X1's messenger. there is the Windows Live panel which I could see you using as it has the messenger in there.

I'm a huge fan of Agile Messenger (payware) over any of the default solutions.

I dont see any difference between Live Messenger in the video clip you posted and on the X1....

They both work exactly the same, and look the same.

    Heya,

Fring and Palringo also let you connect to your messenger account along with a number of others so you see all your chat accounts in the same place. I don't know if you can do it from Fring, but Palringo lets you send pictures straight from the camera in the chat message. Voice too apparently but I haven't tried that.

    Cheers,

    Neill.
