Thread: X1 is still not available yet...

Hi guys, although it has officially launch in 30th Sept, but it wont be available in Singapore till at least 2nd week of Oct which i called Sony Ericsson at +65 67448 xxx to confirm.
Then as for the price is also still unknown...been counting down each and everyday.

It's because the launch date was only for Sweden, UK and Germany. Other countries will have to wait their respective launch dates.

OK but I still can't get my hands on it in the UK either, vodafone aint saying anything and are the only online telco shop to show it coming soon

A reliable retailer contact has just informed that even in the UK we probably wont see the X1 until w/s 13th Oct.

yeah vodafone are being very g@y at the moment.

Today is the official launch date for the Xperia X1 and I just wanted to confirm to everyone that it has launched as planned. Units have left the factory and are on their way to the shops in the UK and Nordic markets where they should be available in the next week or so. <<<<<<<<<

The new X1 product site is also live and has some consumer videos demonstrating some of the X1’s strengths, including a look at the panels and how you can personalise your X1. Other videos cover mobile internet, the wide VGA touch screen, the arc slider qwerty keyboard, camera and video recorder, MP3 player, Google Maps and assisted GPS. There’s even a video about how you can use the X1 to make and receive calls!

ha, like i told everyone in some other post... you'll have to wait a good 2-3 weeks after their so called "official launch" before you will see it in most retailer stores!

I just got an email from Expansys UK saying that the X1 will be available on 11th this month! That is next week...

So much for the official release date!

I have been (im)patiently awaiting this phone for ages, then I get all excited by the 30 Sept release date, evisoning being able to go down to Voda on 1 Oct and buy it (a la iPhone from O2). 1st Oct comes and goes, I avidly check all the usual places for the first review of X1 articles... but not so much as a wimper! And now we are kept waiting AGAIN for the 3rd.. or is it the 6th, no now it's the 10th... no now it's the frikkin 13th.. jeeze, SE, you make me wanna go buy an iPhone (my 2nd choice phone*)

*I am torn between technical wizardry (but with accompanying technology-rage) and the simple "it just works" life (yeh I know.. but does sweet FA).
