Thread: BBC iPlayer working ON the X1!!!!

brace yourselfs, i have it working!! well actually its not my work but i have just watched the latest episode of merlin on my x1, straight from the bbc website.



now the person who has managed this has said it is only really available for the voda branded x1s, now you can try with the other brands but thats up to you.

eventually im guessing the bbc iplayer will become available for the x1 without the need to do any configuration but for now...

is there anything in the user-agent field on your browser settings?

all you need to do is add "sgh-i900" to the existing content.

i have this in my field:

vodafone/1.0/SEX1i/R1AA Opera/9.5 (Microsoft Widows; PPC; Opera Mobi/2141; U; UK) UP.Link/6.3.1.20.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1sgh-i900

I just tried this, worked well for me. I was able to view the page using the X1i. I tried to stream last nights Top Gear but got the 502 error. Will have another go tonight.

i'm on BT Vodafone - i had nothing in my field

didn't know whether to delete any spaces out.

strangely, it seems to be working now?

Don't suppose this will work for ppl who are not in UK?
