Calls using Calling Card
Coming from the UIQ world, I'm wondering if there is a way to call using calling card, without having to enter the long string of numbers manually. Thoughts?
Thanks.

it sure is, all you have to do is create or edit a contact and in the number field type in the calling card's toll free or whatever number they have, then insert a "p" which will pause the dialing to allow the automated system to prompt you for your pin, then the destination number. a sample of this would be "8009890987p09832p7168730987". This also works on all motorola phones. hope this helps.

Thanks Ramonper. This method certainly works but each entries would need to be edited individually. In the UIQ world, there is a setting where you can create different calling cards that would automatically handle the input of the phone numbers. Wished there was a small app that could emulate the same.

In fact, there was one but i can't remember the name right now since I just came back to windows mobile after getting my xperia. I'll look it up but I can assure you that there's one i used about 3 years ago, it would use different profiles for inserting digits to your dialing without having to modify your contact entries.

Ahhh, found it! it's called Sunnysoft Calling Card for windows mobile. It runs for about $18, but I have the "fixed" version. I won't post the link here because it will get moderated since this is not a "software" forum
. Here's the official link to the developers website: Sunnysoft s.r.o. - Software . PM me for a link to the "fixed" version.
