    Default Activesync not connecting with device

    Any ideas on the above?

    I also experienced this problem - what fixed it for me was to do a 'Windows Update' with the x1 connected - it downloaded an update for Windows Mobile Device - that did the trick for me after 2 days of fumbling.

    Check to see if the advance network settings is enabled under the settings > connections > USb to PC

    If it is, un check

    good post KBM, USB to pc can be used if you want to transfer files to your memory card without having to use a card reader as the phone will be used as USB flash drive.

    If you move the tick to the sync instead of USB to pc, you will then need to plug the cable and see if that works for you
