Thread: Can't hear my voice on phone / headphone always "on" mode / problems

Hi all,

Come across these forums quite a bit in the past but thought I had an account. Anyway, I have a problem which may be in two parts.

The first problem is that my headphone icon is always showing as on. This means that I can't listen to any audio, video or noise from the phone unless I actually plug in the headphones. There is actually 1 noise I can hear....my alarm so I'm lucky there!!!

Also, when I make a call the person I am calling can not hear me....I can hear them...but only if I plug in my headphones.

Can anyone recommend what I should do?

i have the same problem!!

Nothing you can do, it needs repairing.
It is a hardware issue and not a software issue.
I got mine repaired last year and just noticed that i now have the opposite problem, my
headphones do not switch it to headset mode at all, so i am now wondering if they put a new
jack in as they said or if they just removed / bent the switch.

Please also try searching and if your question is not answered, please re use an existing thread
if there is one.
We have loads of duplicate threads because people do not search and do not re use existing
threads.

Thanks for the reply. I've had enough of this phone now. Am going to use my beer phone and just get a new one when my contract expires.

man ... i bought this Xperia coz i adore this kind of phones but it seems that i don't have a luck in phones ... i faced this problem ... headset always on ...
it show up and go when i try several times ... but i'm also having a problem when i open the slide the screen goes OFF ... it's freaking me out ... i don't know what to do ....
