Thread: Can't connect to the Internet via GPRS

Hey ppl

So, my lovely xperia shows no problems when it comes to connecting to gprs, but when she is supposed to load a web site,...ain't gonna happen. As I enter the web adress and click enter..all i get is..''locating''..then ''opening''..and then nothing. 5 mins later I get a message saying: ''the page cannot be displayed or downloaded because the connection was lost. Check the connection and try again later.''

So I went to the shop of my gsm operator, and the girl there tapped in a new set of GPRS data (and it was the same like the last one)...and the device actually connected to Internet (displayed the web page). Few minutes later, same story, won't connect.

So...any idea on what's wrong, cause it's killin' me (

I would try a hard reset and insert a new settings from the begining maybe this would do.
Push togheter two silver buttons under the screen and power up the phone
then follow the instruction on the screen.

Hi there.. Does the hard reset delete all your files on device's memory?

And what setting do we have to insert at the beginning? Because I have similar problem (x1 can't connect to EDGE/3G at all) and I don't think I ever encountered any settings involving internet..

Yeah, I thought somebody will mention the hard reset as an option (that I'm trying to aviod hehe), anyhoo, if anybody had any other ideas,do tell...if not..I'll let u know if hard reset did help in a few days

same issue here. was able to connect previously..but all of a sudden it doesnt work anymore.

Me too.. After update I can't connect to internet.. And I don't want to rush things since I don't need internet desperately.. But it would be nice if it works

EDIT: yes, after a hard reset phone returns to factory settings, in other words it deletes all its memory

hard reset doesnt work for me...new firmware update doesnt work as well. is weird the gprs is not working but the mms still does. funny....

What will i do without gprs? I need...pls help....What should i do?
