    Default Update problem

    Hello All,

    Just got an experia a little over 2 weeks ago, great phone but i wanted to update it, so i used SE update however after i go through the steps of taking out the batt and holding down the volume and power buttons so that i get the coloured bars, i connect it to the comp but the update service is not recognizing the phone is pluged in. On the phone itself at the bottom the world serial changed to USB once the phone was connected and windows knows there is a microsoft activsync device inserted. please please help

    It has happened to me a couple of times, leave the battery out for 5 mins and reboot the machine, you could also try a different USB port on the machine, it is a wierd bug but I think it is more of a PC one than an SE one

    no probs... oh also sometimes active sync on the phone bugs out (Windows or X1 dunno) disconnect the phone and close active sync then reconnect

    Ok we i tried keeping the bat out for 5 min, even more and it worked. SE's update service started to check the phone, then the phone went to a grey screen with a bar beside it in blue was 0%. Then the phone when black and the comp made the noise that tells you a usb device was disconnected, the coloured bars come back and SE says : The product could not be identified. Please disconect and try it again. This happened to me 3 times already :s if Se wont work, is there a way i can manually update the phone?
