Thread: X1 touch screen ocassionally stops working

Hi,

i bought the X1 several days back and now i have this annoying issue with my touch screen stopping to work at random times. it usually happens right after i had unlocked the keyboard and screen, and only a restart fixes it.

some specs:
- i have put my left hardkey as keyboard lock button
- i have SpB mobile shell installed and working just fine
- i have calendar sync with Outlook
- my Now screen is the default visible screen when the keys are locked

the funny thing is that i unlock the keys through the touch screen (left softkey and then right softkey) and afterwards it is just as good as locked as well. it doesnt occur after any specific action as far as i have observed so far, it just happens every say 20-25 locks/unlocks. neither browisng through menus (using the hard keys) nor sliding the phone in and out, nor locking and unlocking again fixes this.

does someone have a similar problem or any idea for solution to this?

My touch screen also stopped working today - without any reason.

I can use the HW buttons, but the on-screen elements doesnt react when I press the screen.

Anyone?

Try disabling anything you installed, then soft-reset and let us know if it still happens.

i have the same problem... does anyone knows how to fix it?

hey last night i found a solution to this problem..

i found in xda-dev that someone has take out the film protector and after that it start working...
i made the same and worked!

Just had this happen to me, and yes, somehow my fiddling with the screen protector caused it. Lifted the corner I'd been trying to get seated better, and the screen came back to liefe.

Today, i dropped my phone and it didnt want to go out of stanby mode( blank screen). i thought the battery may have disconnected some how. so i took the battery out and back in( did this with older sony ericssons). it didnt even want to come on. the button lights worked and vibrated as if it started back up. nothing!!

later on after i kept starting it back up, my X1's screen comes on, but the touch screen doesnt work, just the physical buttons. i can type up a SMS but cant send it because i need to touch the screen.

this is weird, i just posted maybe a half hour ago about how my phone has been immobilized for the whole day. plugged it into my computer and used the program "my mobiler". tried to do a screen align, didnt work nor could i have gotten out of the program.out goes the battery and back in. now the touch screen works =)

hey. same thing happened to me with the screen. it stopped working all of a sudden, so when i lifted the screen protector.. and started touching the screen.. it all of a sudden worked again. that's weird.. the screen protector fudged it up..
