Thread: Windows Mobile 6.5 To Be Announced February

I guess it's officially official that Microsoft will unveil Windows Mobile 6.5 Update on February 16th. According to sources on the net, the leaked images of the new Today Screen UI are somewhat accurate.

Is it just me or do you think that Sony Ericsson won't be providing this update to us? Why? Because the new Today Screen competes with their "Panel" idea.

I really hope SE does provide an update to the X1. My only gripe with the X1 is WinMo 6.1 UI. I like having the freedom to do whatever when I want, which WinMo 6.1 offeres. However, using the phone on the fly for a quick call or internet lookup isn't the most optimized. I hope with WinMo 6.5 we can have the best of both worlds, and in the end, the best phone on the market.




Those Windows Mobile 6.5 screenshots might be real. Maybe.

You never know, SE could do the update, and provide the option of making the xpanel key go to the today screen?

If they don't, someone on XDA will figure out how.

I would be quite surprised if they don't.

Other WinMo handset manufacturers provide ROM updates when new versions are released for most, if not all of their devices that will support it, so for SE to have any hope of being taken seriously as a smartphone manufacturer, they have to provide a similar service to their customers.

Am I the only person, when looking at the two screenshots in the top post, that thinks of Halo?

always excited to see new and updated os's, however you can help to think using it will give you more headache then heartache.

i'd let se release some reviews of there own before touching it just yet.

i think the screen shot is fake,don't expect sony to that kind...but can we instal it by ourselves?
