In terms of backing up just the system files / programs / contacts etc...

You can google "SPB Backup" it will do the job for you, only thing is that it is not freeware...

    Thank you,
I do think to buy some necessary software as I do for my pc.

Good suggestion, do you personnally use the software?

    Hi,

I've used it both to backup and restore from and it worked fine with the X1.

You could also use SkTools, you will also need to pay for this software for its full features, but not only will you be able to backup, restore settings / files, but also optimize your X1, from your registry to cleaning up temp files, and lots lots more, read up on their website.

    Hi, BioVolt
will SKTOOLS work well with the SPB programs such as Pocket Plus 4.0, Phone Suite, Keyboard and Wireless Monitor? SPB baby over here...just wondering because I am undecided which program to have. Either SPB Backup or SKTOOLS. Thanks for your help!

I've been using SPB Backup quite a bit recently whilst upgrading the rom and can say up till now it has been hassle free with no problems at all. The scheduled overnight backup works great and being able to select/deselect individual files/ settings from the backup has been very handy.
I also have SKtools (which I believe can do all the above?) but I just use it for the system/cleanup functions so can't really comment on its backup capabilities.
