Ok great. Where are you getting new roms from? I'm thinking that I'll do a fresh new rom install after backing up the retail one and then follow your original performance thread to increase software performance. Still quite like the O2 application as I found myself deleting the GPRS settings from the registry to stop the phone leaving wifi and switching to GPRS.

When backing up the stock ROM I don't have the registry keys stated in the post. Mine all start with HKEY so what do I do?

Yea, found it....cheers. Still having issues. Taking ages just to move nowhere. It's been a while since I used Command Prompt and I haven't got a clue how to enter the upwards dash after the hyphon. I have it on my keyboard but when I press it I just get "¦" instead.

Nope lol, for some reason my command prompt sees the vertical slash as "¦" and it's the character and not the keyboard...**** I'm fed up with Windows lol.

Not Vista64 itself, of course, but the upgrade application could not work properly.
Simply, since many low-level applications may give issues under new operating systems, I would not like to find myself at 90% of the upgrade process, and get a program hang.
This happens, in example, for many programs used to flash satellite receivers ROMs; many of them do not work under operating systems different from XP 32-bit.
