How to text quickly

Can someone suggest how I set up a quick button to send a new SMS.
I wanted one of my quick-launch buttons on a panel to do it (Or one of the customisable keys on the front of the xperia), but the only thing I can find is "messaging.lnk" and then have to do menu/new message/SMS Message.
Which is just too slow.

I think there is a shortcut on the SPB Shell panel that is a quick link to SMS.

Try this - download the attached .ink file and copy it to your Xperia; put it in the Windows folder. Rename the file "New SMS-SMS-to-body", then map one of your soft keys (only two for you to choose actually - either the left or the right soft keys) to this shortcut. You should be able to use this shortcut key in the Today panel.

Now if someone can figure out a way to "implement" this shortcut on the other panels, I'll be happy, for I don't always use the Today panel and switching panels to access the Write SMS function takes about as long as going via the normal way.

It will be installed under Settings, and allows you to create a "New SMS" left or right soft key. It changes the buttons that are at the bottom of the screen in the Today panels, but wont change them ones that are on the Sony Ericsson Today Panel, as they are preset to Update and Options.
