I feel like a jerk/dork calling around to different places to see if they have heard anything....and NOTHING. One guy at an AT&T at least told me that he was as impatient as I was, so that was nice to hear. I am worried that news of the X1 release info will be overshadowed by a somewhat minor election here in the US.

Somewhat minor? wtf?

Ok but anyway... yes this is annoying.

But ive noticed something at least. The sony style store stopped listing smart phones (the P1i) Sony Ericsson Mobile Phones | Sony | SonyStyle USA lol.

Yeah, somthing minor like they couldn't make a deal with none the USA carriers so what's the point to announce it for a country who's no going to buy?

Or they need some time to change it from 1900 to 1700 Because T-Mo call them last night

Or maybe they have a deal with Sprint and we have to wait until the change it to CDMA

Or better news they still reprinting the manuals to say no accelerometer, 256MB RAM

I have been very positive through all the negativity surrounding this phone. No news when they promised??? The straw that broke the camels back...

agreed! while this may only frustrate everyone just a little bit more. I called several midwestern US Sony Style stores in regards to the announcement and was told pretty much the same thing all around. Retails at 799$ unlocked and they should receive it within a week or two....sound familiar?
