Windows 7 is a new operating system tht is coming soon maybe next year . which will allows multi touch, (full touch screen PCs) so I think tht is wher the confusion is. The latest OS for Windows mobile is 6.1

Agree with Mr. Fox, its still a long time away. Without doubt we will see delays and pushbacks, and I think it would be unlikely Sony would offer an update for it.

I would think the successor (X5?) would be more likely to support Windows Mobile 7.

I think there is a 6.3 release coming soon (dunno what happened to 6.2) when there was talk of it being released in feb 09 there was talk about it being installed then.

I think 6.1 is about 18 months Old (feb 07???) so hopefully many bugs solved for us already

WM7 is a long way off for now.

Where did you see 6.3. You have a link about 6.3?
BTW during the webcast SE refuse to say if Xperia would be updated to WM7.
Tonigh I will post it.

Sorry it was during a mass search time I cannot place the site (I've tried) i also think people are getting confused abit when they say WM, for some its Windows Mobile and others its Windows Media player and it is causing a lot of cross talk.

there is a lot of talk with it in inxperia.com forums and the "does it or doesn't have a motion sensor for WM7"
