if you use sktools you can lose a lot of those utilities, got a registry editor, backup program and loads of other good stuff built in. also "anx1 actionscreen" is a really good addition too [APP][05-03-09] AnX1 Actionscreen v1.1 - xda-developers

"htc calculator" is a vast improvement on the standard calculator. another good free download.

Hi kuztarrd!

Thanks for the heads up! Regarding TomTom full postcode search -

**TomTom7 with full postcode search -

Where do you place the downloaded/unzipped files?

I have Program Files/Navigator folder on my storage card and also a United_Kingdom)and_Republic_of_Ireland folder.

I am running TomTom 7.9

Any help would be appreciated!

Regards,

Alan

For tomtom postcodes.. if you have the downloaded file/folder you should have a folder called Zip, within this folder will be a few files, but for the uk you will only need:
Great_Britain.postal
Great_BritainPostal.ver

copy this whole folder into the root of your storage disk.

Thanks for the heads up about sktools.. I love to be shown new programmes that I NEED :-) especially tinkering programmes

It's a mighty programmes, with almost too many functions. I will add it to my list. Although I have tried to use it to change how quickly my phone rings after the vibrations.. found in:
Tune up / phone edition/Ring Script but have had no success at all!

Also so far have found my previous regeditor better and more useable.

I've not included the other two options (calc and anx1) as i just wouldn't use them

If and when i get to do a phone update via SEUS, (02 UK), then i will do a power consumption check on most of these programmes to see if any of them are power hogs and see if I can not include them for better battery time.. (although I can get a good 2 days per battery if i dont use certain programmes)

or do you mean "kuztardd" :-)

with net framework, go to the link and download to your pc/laptop.

make sure you have your phone linked to your pc via usb and activesync.

install the net framewwork via your pc.. it will then "talk" to your phone and install the relevant bits on to your phone..

any probs, just shout.

Sorry Kuztardd! I'd just woken up from a night shift when I posted that ,
I have tried to use that file but it doesn't seem to work it gives me a error message on my Vista laptop (can't confirm the error message at the mo as I am at work!) my XP pc doesn't like my phone for some reason so haven't tried to install net framework from there but I will have a go when I get home

Default TomTom...
kuztardd,

Thanks for the reply! Presumably, I just copy the "Zip" folder to the root of my storage card...

Regards,

Alan
