Good review I guess. But ****, it got depressing when I started reading the part about the UI.
I was hoping the Panels would cover up the WinMo crap more, but apparently not. If this had TouchFlo it'd be perfect.

Oh and um.. wtf is with this translation on page 4? "Het is allemaal wat karig." translates to "It is all a bit niggardly." o_o lol...

this review is not that great...this guy is too much of a fan of the touch pro...im kinda debating now what to get...im a strict fan of SE...he claims the downsides are flat keys? i thought the keys on the keyboard were beveled?...im so lost...and half the stuff makes no sense lol...

im guessing you just have to get used to the phone like any other phone to appreciate it

and yeah im disappointed SE never took up somethin similar to the touchflo

I love messed up translations

Overall a very good review, liked the keyboard but said that the travel in buttons are not great (which we knew) and that although they were spaced out still a bit hard to press without looking.

Apparently wanted a better nav skin for WM and the Panels were very basic and only 6? so it doesn't skin WM properly as there isn't enough of them, complains about the text size being too small but if I remember correctly you can resize the fonts (or screen res) to sort this.

Camera is OK, sound is OK, loves the build.

Oops minor edit

Says that you can tell it is only 65K colours, personally id didn't think you should be able to but he has it, FYI it also states that it can do 18bit colour depth (260 000ish colours) but it is a WM issue.

Complains that Opera isn't properly built in, IE is still the default, I am sure though that soon there will be a minor update to solve this, but did say that it was lovely to go on the web with the phone in widescreen.

Also he said it was 3.2" not 3" screen dunno if this is a typo or not

EDIT: norseman got to it before i did lol.

I think by flat keys he means that the edges are too flush with the surface. And that they dont have much travel, making it hard to tell when you've successfully pushed the key.

Think the review has put a little downer on my impatience to getting the x1.

Don't let it become a downer, don't forget this guy probably reviews loads of phones a year and so will almost always find a negative as there will always be a phone that doe at least one thing better, how many do we buy a year to compare?

It is OK that he likes the touch pro, that is his choice we all have a preference, I think the SE community will make the panels an ace thing and blow the rest out of the water

Norseman cheers mate you have cheered me back up again Im not a mobile windows user however i like the idea of sending emails etc via the mobile phone.

all I need to do is find a good deal that gives good mobile internet service (cheap) im currently on O2 simpliccity for £15 per month but like the £2o a month option however reading there site states £1 per day for internet use which i think is very expensive.
