Windows On Se Good Or Bad?

What does everyone think to the new look SONY ERICSSON? I have had a SE since they first came out in 1991, recently most of there phones have been presented with a standard look interface........untill now.
I love my new X1 but do the die hard SE fans like there new 'windows' look or is it a bit like buying a mercedes that looks like a ford escort?

Well I am not exactly a die hard SE fan (had a couple of Ericssons 6 years ago) but must say that if it's a Mercedes you want you have the tools to build one yourself now (Windows Mobile).

As the X1 is windows based you will now be able to do more with a SE than ever before. You don't just have a phone that takes photo's and plays music. There are thousands of applications available to allow you to do more than ever on a handheld device.

I have used windows mobile for a few years now and could never go back to normal mobile, they are just to limited.

I am about to bin the Rom that came with the phone and the panels function (as I see it as a pointless gimmick) and move onto HTC Touchflo 3D Rom this allows me to totally customise the device and personalise it to however I want.

I don't see the device as a toy or fashion item it is a tool that I use to improve my day to day life so I don't see it as an Ford Escort more a Ford Transit (Merc Sprinters are good in straight line but the Transit will always kick there arse everywhere else) that AMG have spent a few months on personalising to me.

Ive put the HTC on myself, its very good and makes things alot easy to use.
Still got panels on though, yes they are a bit pointless. I agree so far ive found the windows side very easy to customize.
