WiFi - X1 can't see the strong signal from my home network

X1 does pick up WiFi signals from various networks - albeit with a much weaker signal than on my previous phone (an O2 XDA Stellar). However, it doesn't pick up any signal at all from my Home network - despite a very strong signal on the Stellar and my Laptop. Anyone know why? My X1 has software version R2AA012. Home router is a Belkin N Wireless router. Belkin suggested changing channel which hasn't worked. Sony Ericsson and O2 "can't help" Thanks.
