why doesn't system time sync to my provider? can it?

Hi,

Been doing significant amount of searching and reading, and it seems a lot of other people are having problems with the time on their X1 being pretty sketchy.

First I was having the 1hour discrepancy between the system time and my panels, but then I ticked the daylight savings and all was fine for a while.

Then after installing some new panels the time on my phone went off by about an hour and 30 minutes.

My real question is, why doesn't the phone get it's time from AT&T (in my case) or whoever the cell network provider is? Every other phone I've ever owned did that, or had the option to do that.

Does my new $700 flagship phone from SE not sync up to my carrier for time? I find that a little unacceptable. Now when I get off a plane in a different time zone I can't rely on my phone? Isn't it 2009? Isn't this phone supposed to be killer?
