SMS/email contact problem

Hi all,
i just hard reset my x1, and now on "to" field in new messaging (either sms or email) it doesnt do auto fill..i mean usually on that field I just type name and pop up will appear with options of several contacts for me to choose.
tried to look for solution in options, tools etc but no avail..
any help is much appreciated.
