Default Dictionaries - MSDict
Hello there, could somebody check for me if the MSDict dictionaries work correctly on the xperia? (I'm thinking they may not be able to use the full screen res, recognize all buttons etc.)

I'm interested in the java (j2me) versions.

Here's a trial version:
MSDict Pocket Oxford English Dictionary Java / free download

You need the jar file from the orange box. Download, transfer to phone and hopefully you are able to install it by clicking it.

Thank you if anyone takes the time to test this.

Bonus question: does the x1 have a built-in audio podcast downloader? Or is there decent third party podcast software?

Anone?

Installing a java app takes all of 5 minutes and you would be helping out a fellow phone nerd.
Thanks if someone bothers to help.

I have some MSDict dictionaries working on my X1, but, i'm not using the Java versions. mine are installed from CABs.
One of them is the Pocket Oxford English.

Well, good for you.
In case you haven't realised I'd like somebody to test the java versions. There is a dl link in the first post. If you're willing to spend 5 minutes to help me, great. If not, why post useless information?

Don't you have the phone to test it out yourself? Just wondering...

lofarkus,
with an attitude like that, i will be quite surprised if you get any help with this request.

Still, here is some more useless information for you.

I was merely stating that the CAB dictionaries work, in case you werent aware that you didnt need to use the java versions that will probably not run as well, because the X1 has a not so good Java virtual machine on it.

Still, wasting my time comes naturally to me.

No, or I'd have tried it out myself, obviously. I'd like to find out before I spend a pile of money on the phone.
