Rogers June 9 Soft Launch Xperia X1 Query
So I reside within the GTA Toronto area and on June 9 tried to track down which stores had the X1 available, but was unsuccessful. I visited a Rogers store and decided to call the other stores within the city as it would be ridiculous to get through every store. Over the phone all the reps claimed the store did not have it and have no idea when it will be release/have not been told of a soft launch event.
Did anyone actually get the X1 from Rogers yet? It seems to me that the launch may have been delayed or just missed those said stores that are involved in a soft launch.
I wanted to find out the actual cost of the X1 based on 3 year term and no term as the info that was leaked gave a ranged of price (249 to 299 3 year and 649 to 799 no term i believe).
I believe also that the version that Rogers have is the X1a. I have been eying the X1i unlocked but for 600 Canadian dollars tax in. I need to gauge the price difference between X1a and X1i if its worth it for the 3G for Rogers and the hassle of signing up with no contract and probably paying activation/admin fees and eventually canceling the rogers account and getting it unlocked for Fido (current provider) for the 3g 850 freq on the X1a for Rogers.
Any further insight/knowledge would be appreciated.
