How do O2 bolt-on's work if you're not getting the contract direct from O2?!
I'm looking to get my Xperia from here:
http://www.mobiles.co.uk/o2-sony-eri...xperia-x1.html
Now I'm going to need the 'Unlimited web' bolt-on, obviously!
It says on O2 if you tariff is has over 600 mins a month you get one free bolt-on...
Does that apply still if I get it from the site above?
O2 bolt-on info:
http://www.o2.co.uk/mobilestariffs/t...onthly/boltons
Any ideas?
Cheers!

It would have been good then because thats a good deal but it looks like (from a quick google) that the free bolt on offer wont apply and the guy ont he phone told me they arnt doing the Xperia "right now" but they may do it in the future. Im actually tempted to just pay the £150 and get the £25 a month and use my 3G modem when i need the net because their pay as you go is easier than ****ing around with bolt on's....

hey spidertwig you might help me out here. See im a bit confused about the whole "unlimited" internet thing, especially when all the providers i've seen for 3g apart form tmobile have fair use policies of about 250MB or less if you are with vodaphone.
How do they police this? Say if i use a GB in a month will they seriouslly charge me for the other 750MB?

I think o2 have more of a "fair usage" policy in place... Think its over a gb and they warn you, but im not too sure... We've never been warned, and we're both heavy users.
I don't know what the T&C's are re the boltons... Just push your luck till you get a slap on the wrist. Tis what we do!

I couldn't agree more... I was dreading coming to O2 having used Tmobiles browsing for a year... really fast speeds, fair usage that was more than fair!
However, O2 is pretty good - stable reliable, all depends on where you live I suppose, but their "fair" usage policy aint affected me yet!
